We spent Saturday night hanging out with Tara and Jason. Such a nice night! We had some beers, and they got to hang out and cuddle with the little man :) ... Jag may have said, "Hello :)." as well.. hehe
Jared didn't have band practice this past Sunday, so we took Freya and Reiner for a walk down by the river :) It was a little chilly, but we all stayed nice and toasty! Jared was on a hunt for a stick to make a bow with- which he later snapped in half, oops!
Monday, Tiffany, Reiner, and I visited a couple teachers from high school, and they were pretty happy to see the baby :). Then we shared some yummy pad thai for lunch- sooo delicious! After lunch we went back to my parents' house and spent the rest of the afternoon with them. Of course they LLLOOVVEEE hanging out with their little grandbaby :) (he is pretty cute hehe).
Auburn had to switch our Wednesday date to Tuesday this week, so Reiner and I had a nice lunch at William's with them :). It's so nice to have a friends with kids (Miss you Laura, and Evie! Just wait till Reiner's old enough to play with Evie! ), and it's nice for Reiner that Otis and him are only 6 weeks apart! They shall be great friends!
Usually I try to keep the weeks fairly busy (or else I'll just sit around all day :S), so Reiner and I met up for lunch with Jared at the mall. I was pretty disappointed that they burned my cruch wrap supreme, how disappointing? We spent the afternoon looking through different stores, and walking around. I bought Reiner a book at Cole's. Before he was born I bought the "MR. BROWN CAN MOO board book"... and since I read it sooo long ago, I didn't realize HOW condensed it was, compared to the regular book- I just knew it felt like my favourite parts were missing lol. So, I happened to pick the book up, and read through... and it was so different from the board book that I had to get him the real version... or else it just wouldn't be the same! Reiner also had his photo taken with Santa :)
Later that evening, we met with a salesman from CANADIAN BABY PHOTOGRAPHY (I think that's the name), we had a free photo session a few weeks ago- so we had to look through and pick our favourite photos. We were planning on just picking ONE- because that was free, and leaving it at that. We ended up with all of them. The cuteness was too much to comprehend! They also were fairly reasonably priced compared to some other companies.
Thursday, Reiner and I visited Daddy at work :) Took him a smoothie... then I had to make the sweet potatoes for Saturday's dinner. I also cook dinner for us on Thursdays, so I made a simply pasta dish- that is really delicious! It's just olive oil, fresh minced garlic, onion, red pepper, mushrooms, chili powder or flakes, and bacon, (s&p). Then just grate some cheese over top! It's soooo easy, and really tasty!
We just had a lazy day on Friday- which I was okay with since we were out so much during the week :). We watched a lot of wedding shows on TLC, and of course some of the food network! (Because Jared hates the food network when he's home lol).
We also had family night, where we order pizza and watch a movie. We watched PEOPLE LIKE US, it has Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pine in it. It was really good- or at least I enjoyed it. It was a really neat story :)
