Today I decided to go online and see what kind of sites there were that had free workout routines/schedules, that were also free. Lately, I've been wanting to get back into the swing of doing exercise. I danced from when I was ten until I was about sixteen, and in high school I did a couple years of gymnastics on the team. After that I sort of faded, the summer before I got married I started running, and as great as it is for me-it's just so boring! (Not that I don't still plan to do more jogging in the spring/summer).
I came across a site called www.exercise.com. You sign in- for free- and set up your account with what you want to achieve with your exercise. For me, I just want to be more physically active and fit for the sake of being healthy. This site is really cool because you pick the days that you want to have a workout, and it sets up a schedule with all different workout routines on different days. This is great because I tend to get bored easily, and this gives a little bit of variety to the workout.
For instance, today's workout routine was a 20 minute long Pilates Core strength exercise. By the end my stomach was on fire! I'm also really out of shape apparently! lol. Also- if you want to do a longer workout, you can just start the days routine over and repeat it. (But for today the 20 minutes was good enough for me! lol) I really hope that I can keep myself in a routine of this! I decided that my perfect workout schedule would be Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday. There are also a bunch of different programs that target different things (strength, weightloss, etc.) that you can choose from!
I'm actually pretty excited about this- and it's so easy... right in my own home! I really hope I remember to stick with it!
