On the Mend!... Finally!

     Hey there!
     I'm so glad that I'm finally feeling better, last week was so crappy! I randomly just felt sick, but didn't have a fever or chills or anything that would normally accompany the flu? It was so weird, I also had really bad heartburn/acid reflux feeling. It really sucked! But I was a big kid, and I didn't call in sick to work *Pats self on back*.

     Jared and I watched HANNA tonight. It's a movie about a girl who's dad raises her to be an assassin. It was a little odd, but I actually think it was a pretty good movie. It had the girl from "The Lovely Bones" in it, it took me a minute to place where I'd seen her before. All in all I would say that this was a pretty good movie, and it's worth a watch.

     *Sidenote* THE LOVELY BONES wasn't a very good movie if you haven't seen in yet. I read the book, and it was fairly well written. It's not one of those books you can say you "enjoyed", but it was an interesting/but gruesome read for sure. The reason the movie was so bad was that they took bits and pieces from the book, and put them in the movie out of order (I was always really good at reading comprehension, so I would notice something important missing from a scene, and later on they would put that piece in another spot that didn't make sense with the book). It just wasn't a well executed book to movie. => If you have different thoughts I would love to hear them! Just comment below :)

     I can't wait until our car is fixed... I'm so not a morning person, and for the last two weeks I've had to wake up before 8 so I can drop Jared off for work. It sucks because I do a lot of my editing/blogging and such at night... but I have to get to sleep earlier now so I can be awake in time! I guess the car threw the drivebelt, Jared thought he had it fixed the other night, but then it happened again so something got missed? Poor Jared :(

     Anyway, I'm going to go the sleep now! night night!

What a blah week :S

     Sorry for the lack of posts! I've barely done anything internet-y this past week... besides pinterest. I just haven't been feeling too hot... although today I felt better than I did at all last week :) So hopefully whatever bug or something that I picked up is on its way out?

     Jared played a show on Friday, I am so proud of him and the guys! They did great :) Keep up the good work guys!

     Sorry this is so short :( It's after 1 a.m. and I need to SLEEP!

Lazy Monday Off...

     Today was a nice day for Jared and me :) We both had long weekends because of New Year's. It was so nice and relaxing not to have to go anywhere! We watched a few movies, drank some wine, and ate some hors d'ouvres (sp?) that we didn't end up baking for New Year's :)

     We watched SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD first today. It was such a weird movie... even weirder that it was set in Toronto. It wasn't my favourite movie by any means, but there were quite a few funny parts. I think I'm just not a big gamer to enjoy more of the videogame style of the movie?

     The second movie we watched was BRIDESMAIDS, which sort of left me on the fence? I thought the story was cute, but the bickering between the two girls was just too "Penelope" for me (Penelope is a SNL character that the one girl plays- on Saturday Night Live). I always enjoy the skits that she does, but the way the girls in the movie are trying to one up each other... it just sort of irritated me.

     Third, we watched BAD TEACHER, which I really enjoyed! It was funny, the characters were funny. Jared and I watch a lot of How I Met Your Mother, and we're big fans of the guy who plays "Marshall"(I should also know his real name by now... but I never pay attention to the credits).

     Anywho... I have to work in the morning... so off to bed I go :)

Don't Leave Home... Without Your Shoes.

     Hey everyone :) 
     This week has felt crazy! Work has been insanely busy with people cashing in their gift cards! I feel like I've been running in circles for the last four days! (I had Monday off work for boxing day). I've also been trying to keep on top of walking Freya (which we did three times this week!), I want to try to do it everyday - which was the originial goal... but time just gets away from us sometimes! 


     Although, I didn't exactly have any waterproof shoes until this week either - and Keds don't work so well in the snow/wet. I had fun the other night taking her out... did a little vlog :) It's funny though, you'd think that after a walk she'd be less inclined to run circles around the house and lose her mind. But I swear she's more hyper when we come home from a walk, than before we leave! lol. 


     Funny story (you already know if you follow me on twitter), last night Jared's sister and her boyrfriend/our friend Brian were at our house. When they we're leaving they left a Christmas present behind, so I ran it out to their car. Upon trying to get back into the house, I realized that instead of unlocking the door- I locked it on my way out. Also, I was in bare feet... who goes outside in the winter (in the snow) in bare feet? Of course Jared had already gone to bed and couldn't hear the doorbell or the knocking/banging on the door. Luckily my neighbour heard me and she brought a pair of slippers over to my porch lol. She also brought her cell phone which was helpful- we finally woke Jared up and he opened the door lol. 


     I'm so excited for tomorrow night! NYE party! I'm currently waiting for a video to render so I can upload it before it's too late lol (2 am on NYE is cutting it pretty close for a NYE tutorial). Hopefully I can stay up long enough to get it up along with a blog post! Anywho... I'm gonna go grab a beer and catch up on some subscription videos :)

It's been a few days...

     It's been a few days since my last post, so I'll do a quick update!

     Saturday night, Jared and I went out for a lovely dinner at Montana's with a bunch of girls (+ hubbies) from work :) I had a delicious steak dinner, mmmm :). Unfortunately I could feel some sorta bug coming on :(

     Sunday morning I was feeling okay, but I knew something was up I just didn't feel very energized or good? By Sunday night I was drinking soup and napping in a billion blankets trying to stay warm. I don't know what I had but every muscle in my body hurt! It was so weird and felt horrible.

     Monday I worked all day which didn't help at all. I just felt so crappy all day, but it wasn't like a stomach bug where I was being sick- so I didn't want to go home (being Christmas time, no one can miss out on pay day right?).

     Yesterday and today I felt much better (although I did wake up with a massive kink in my neck this morning- couldn't turn my head up, down, or right? ouch!) Jared and I got some Fast Eddie's for dinner, and caught up on HIMYM. We're totally caught up now, which means now we have to wait for them to air! Oh how I hate the waiting game for my favourite shows! I'm still upset that Grey's Anatomy and The Walking Dead went on hiatus until February (I believe), I just get so into shows and am too impatient for the next episodes lol.

     Oh! I even managed to upload a video after work today :) You should check out my Beauty Channel on YouTube! brewie1990 -  I just posted a Winter Wedding Tutorial :)

    Anyway, I need to go to bed and sleep off any lingering sickness!

Christmas Time is Upon Us!

     The last couple of days have been quite eventful for Jared and I :) Friday night we attended Jared's work's Christmas Party. We had a really good time! All the guys where he works grew movember staches, and Jared's won "Most Kissable" <- LOL, but we did get to pick a present from the prize table! (We got a nice cuisinart knife). We also attended the "after party" where slightly too much fun was had!

     Last night was Christmas Party round two. We went to the Concordia in Kitchener for Jared's family dinner, the food was so delicious! There was an oldstyle band, and lots of fancy dancing! I love that restaurant, such a nice atmosphere. After dinner everyone went back to Jared's grandparent's house for coffee/tea/ and homemade cookies! Mmmmm :) Jared's Grandma makes the best sugar cookies!

     When we got home we had an interesting surprise... We always lock Freya up at the front door when we go out, for fear that she will rearrange our entire house while we're away. After we got back from Jared's Grandparent's, Freya was free and roaming about the house. She'd squeezed out of her collar and luckily for us, didn't destroy anything while we were gone. Aside from a container of dates. Usually if there's food anywhere, Freya will find it and eat it... but apparently this dog hates dates!

     She had knocked them off the piano and carried them to different places, so weird! They all had chew marks in them, it's as if she kept hoping she would enjoy them? When I cleaned them up the container was almost full!

     P.S. I'm hoping I can convince Jared that it's not too early to get a Christmas Tree this afternoon :P He wants to wait until next weekend, but I'm so impatient!
