Week 29 Update!

Your baby's the size of an acorn squash!
Baby already measures about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long. Right now, we weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds but he's still got a ways to go -- can you believe he'll triple in weight before birth?
  • He's getting a little cramped in there, since he's growing so fast. But you probably already realize that, since you're getting all those jabs and kicks.
  • He's growing white fat deposits under his skin, and his energy is surging because of it.
  • Feel a subtle twitch? It might be baby hiccupping.

This wasn't the best week for me at all! I ended up getting sick, and couldn't keep anything down for days. I ended up in the hospital, and I was super dehydrated. They had to give me fluids through an IV, they also put some gravol into the drip to settle my stomach. The doctor said I was down to 112 lbs from 118-120. While I was in the hospital they did a check (I guess because I was so dehydrated they were worried about preterm labour?) They said I was having a lot of contractions by their monitors. I couldn't really tell- and they didn't hurt at all. But they did a check- and they said my cervix was a little bit soft, and baby was pretty far down. They ended up giving me those steroid shots- to help develop the lungs faster- but thankfully he's staying put!

Sleep was pretty crappy this week, being sick really doesn't let you rest well :(

As far as movement goes though, babe is moving and kicking- I don't think he even realized I was under the weather.

I definitely didn't get photos of this week :( I pretty much lived in a housecoat all week.
