BreWie1990's Life! :): Week 17 Update!

Hey everyone! Welcome to week 17 update! :)

your baby's the size of an onion!

Baby continues to beef up. Now she's about 5.1 inches long and weighs about 5.9 ounces.

Her rubbery cartilage is now turning to bone.
And she's growing some meat on those bones -- putting on some fat.
She's growing a stronger, thicker umbilical cord, too.

Another week has already flown by! Baby is the size of an onion now- crazy! My belly is definitely showing more these days than before! :) I still have no idea how much weight I've gained so far- at my 12 week appointment it was only like 2 lbs. My next appointment is in like 3 or 4 weeks? So I'll know then how much I've gained. Also- I've ditched the Palmers stretch mark creams- I have three different ones... and they all have slightly different smells? But I can't stand any of them once they're on my skin! :S I've started using my Vitamin E cream and BioOil - I like the smell of them, and they're both very hydrating.

This past week I've woken up almost every night because I have to pee! Up until then, I could sleep right through the night- I just really had to go when I woke up lol. I've also still been having crazy dreams! As well as another dream this week that the baby was a girl, I've had 2 so far that think girl, and one where it was a boy. So weird how your subconscious changes it's mind too hehehe.

Best moments of the week were obviously celebrating my birthday, and my sister's! I turned 22 and she turned 19! My parents made a delicious cottage roll/potatoes/and creamed corn mmm. On my actual birthday- Jared's parents made me a super delicious steak/scallop potatoes/salad/yumminess as well! So many good eats! We also had dinner with Eden, Tara, and Jason on the Saturday! Such a good eats weekend!

I can't believe what happened last night! I was laying in bed (on my back), and started pressing around on my stomach (below my belly button) to see if I could feel anything- because I hadn't felt anything that I thought was definite yet! I had my hand there for a minute and all of the sudden I felt two little bops press toward my hand. It was so crazy! Then at work today a few times I got this weird feeling in my belly, like when you drive over a hill and you get those butterflies? It felt like that- and I hadn't felt these before. I can't see it being anything else but baby! :)
