Hey everyone!
I hope that you all had a great Christmas! I definitely enjoyed this past weekend a lot!
The Christmas time is a very hectic time for Jared and me because there's so much driving around. Christmas Eve we went to Jared's Grandparents' in Kitchener... Jared's Grandpa is in the church choir and they always put on a really nice service :). After the service we come back to Jared's parents and watched "A Christmas Carol", drink rum/eggnog, and eat mince meat pie (which Jared hates haha).
Christmas morning we get up open our stockings, and head over to my parents' house for presents! I love giving presents... it's so much fun to watch people open a present that you took time to pick out :) (we don't always get it right but it's great when we do lol). Breakfast time is great on Christmas day :), Jared's parents make a fabulous spread of breads and just pure deliciousness! Once we're all full we open presents there too :) That night we go over to my Grandparents' for dinner with my dads' whole side of the family.
It's always very busy, and a little tricky to spread out the time between families... but it's always worth it to get to see everyone :) I got a new laptop from Jared and his parents! One that I can edit videos on... Yay! I've been using Jared's computers for everything lately because my old laptop stopped turning on (unless you hit it). I was too afraid to turn it on until I had something to back it up on... incase that was the "last punch" lol.
Yesterday, our friends Laura and Josh (and their precious little Evie!) came to our house for the afternoon. It was sooo super great to see them (it's been months! due to distance). We had a great time talking and snacking- and of course playing a game :). We tried to play settlers of catan, but when we got everything set up... we were missing a deck of cards :( . We ended up playing a game called "DOG EATS CAR", it's a game where you get an assortment of cards and you have to try to make a headline out of the words that you get. We went to Shoeless Joe's for dinner- and then said goodbye. :( Oh how I hate goodbyes!
Tonight we're just waiting for Tara and Jason to get here for more hangouts :), so I'm actually going to end this here! Talk to you soon!
